We found our beautiful boy via an adoption post on Petfinder.com. And we didn’t know it was ARR! I submitted my interest and immediately heard back on their requirements on how to proceed with my application.
The entire process was explained and carefully orchestrated once we all felt our boy was a perfect match. Adopting our baby boy was the best decision we made. Our veterinarian office fell in love with him and immediately asked me where we found him. And then the doctor started following on Instagram. He’s become one of the office favorites! Maverick joined our family in April, and it’s been a little over 6 months since he moved in. All of the sudden you can see that he realizes this is his fur-ever home! And he knows that he’s so loved. He even thinks he’s a lap dog! |

I have rescued other dogs in the past, but ARR/ADAC by far exceeded all expectations. They care deeply about the animals as evidenced by their vetting process and they strive to place the right pet with the right people to ensure a successful match.
From start to finish every aspect of adoption was done to full measure; spayed/neutered, thoroughly vet checked, vaccinated and microchipped. Gabriela (Gabi) makes the incredible trip from her home in Montana to Mexico to pick up the precious cargo and brings them to your door! She does this four times a year! She is superhuman in my eyes. After careful consideration by Alma, I was given the gift of my sweet Olympia (Oly-boly for short). She has brought me incredible joy and I cannot imagine my life without her. She is perfect! She is my little sidekick and I look forward to many years to come with my best friend by my side. If you are going to rescue, I highly recommend ARR/ADAC. You won't be disappointed! |

We adopted Eddy during COVID, so it took a little longer to bring him home but he was totally worth the wait.
We adored Eddy the moment we met him, but it took a little longer for him to warm up to us. He antagonized the other animals and would try to run away every chance he got. So we asked for help and brought in a dog behaviorist. She taught us how to speak to Eddy and to read the messages he was giving us. Through time, repetition and patience, he has become more than a cherished pet. He is family. Now, Eddy doesn't bolt through the front door anymore and has totally adjusted to life with us in Canada. Except for the winters. Still not a fan. It's hard to image his start in life. All alone, living on the street and in constant danger of being run over. If we could, we would take all of Alma's animals. But if you have the capacity to give any of these precious dogs or cats a home, it is incredibly rewarding. |
