Candy

Candy is approximately three years old and 17 pounds. She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico in August of 2021. She had very severe wounds on her skin and was very nervous and afraid of people. But when Candy’s rescuer approached, she was very gentle, and Candy began to trust humans again.

​We immediately took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with scabies. She started treatment the same day.

Since then, she has been in a foster home in Saltillo where we have discovered she is a loving and very social dog. She plays with all the puppies, and even the cats.

​Candy is a very happy, playful, confident dog who loves to be with humans. We do not understand how someone could have abandoned her. But when many people see their pet is sick, they choose to throw them on the streets because they do not have money or do not want to spend money on medical care. We think that might have happened to Candy.

Candy tiene aproximadamente tres años y pesa 17 libras. Fue rescatada de las calles de Saltillo, México, en agosto de 2021. Tenía heridas muy graves en la piel y estaba muy nerviosa y asustada por la gente. Pero cuando el rescatador de Candy se acercó, ella fue muy gentil y Candy comenzó a confiar en los humanos nuevamente.

​Inmediatamente la llevamos al veterinario y le diagnosticaron sarna. Comenzó el tratamiento el mismo día.

Desde entonces, ha estado en un hogar de acogida en Saltillo donde descubrimos que es una perrita cariñosa y muy sociable. Juega con todos los cachorros e incluso con los gatos.

​Candy es una perra muy feliz, juguetona y segura a la que le encanta estar con los humanos. No entendemos cómo alguien pudo haberla abandonado. Pero cuando muchas personas ven que su mascota está enferma, optan por tirarla a la calle porque no tienen dinero o no quieren gastar dinero en atención médica. Creemos que eso podría haberle pasado a Candy.
