Dakota is a female 1 1/2 year old Lab/Kokoni mix who weighs 23 pounds.
Dakota was rescued from an abusive situation. She and her sister Miel, lived literally on the street even though they had "owners." Malnourished, full of ticks, Dakota slept on the street in the cold and rain. They beat her with a broom and caused a fracture in her hind leg that was not treated and poorly mended. It cannot be fixed, but it does not affect her ability to run, walk, play and be very happy. Her bladder was also affected in her past and she sometimes suffers from incontinence.
