Two More Successful Adoptions!

February, 2022 - Lolita was transported by land to an airport near Phoenix where volunteers were waiting to fly her to Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Now she lives with her forever family and is doing great!

Kennedy lives in Massachusetts and is also very happy in his new home.

More Dogs Given a Second Chance at a Forever Home

January, 2022 - These furry friends are currently in the Second Chance shelter in Mexico. Once they have gone through all their health protocols in March, they will travel to the USA, and be available for adoption!

Max, Sam and Eddy All Arrive at Their Forever Homes

December, 2021 - Max and Sam were lucky enough to find a wonderful home in Washington, DC. They have been adopted by excellent families who will never hesitate to offer them their love and protection.
And after seven months of waiting, little Eddy has finally arrived at his new home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His new family was eagerly waiting his arrival and is thrilled to have him in their home. It's a long way from Saltillo Mexico and it will take some time for him to adjust, but he is happy, safe, comfortable, and very, very loved.

Happy Dogs Headed to New Homes

October, 2021 - ADAC is very happy to share the good news of more dog adoptions! The latest batch is headed to Massachusetts, Connecticut, Michigan, and London, England! These lovely dogs have been rescued from a life on the street and are now in loving, safe homes. Thank you to all adopters!

Harry's Road to Health and a Home

Picture
Harry was brought to ADAC in January of 2021 in desperate need of medical attention after being burned by acid. He is a fighter and his health has improved significantly, but still needs treatment. On May 4, ADAC volunteers took him to Monterrey for an appointment with a specialist but were unable to bring him in. He would not wear a muzzle so he could not see the doctor. Sometimes, the journey to health takes a detour, but his caregivers will not give up and are making new plans for skin treatment.
June, 2021 - Harry and 17 other rescued dogs depart for the United States. We were nervous to see how he would do, and he was a little anxious in his foster home, but he is happy now and even got to eat ice cream!
Harry's next stop is his forever home in Washington. We are thrilled that Harry is living the life he deserves. We send you a kiss my sweet boy!
July, 2021 - Sadly, Harry's adoptive family returned him to ADAC so we are looking for another family for this sweet boy. If you or someone you know is looking for a wonderful, deserving dog, please contact ADAC.

A Bright Future for 18 ADAC Dogs

June 15, 2021 - ADAC staff wave goodbye to 18 dogs leaving Mexico for new lives in the United States and Canada. Some have been adopted and are being transported to their new homes, and some will go to a partner agency in Houston and continue to look for their forever family. Follow along as we document their journey!

Because of you, our supporters, we can improve the lives of so many stray and unwanted animals, and help manage the current pet population. Thank you!
The dogs are now in Houston waiting to be transported to various destinations.
June 21, 2021 - The pack splits up as some of the dogs make their way to Washington. This is one of many stops to ensure the dogs are comfortable during their journey.

The Dangers of Overfeeding

May 2021 - ADAC staff had to rush little Jazz to the vet after ingesting a large amount of food. He had a severe intestinal obstruction that required surgery. This three month old pup is a fighter though, and currently is in critical, but stable condition.

Update!
After a few very uncertain days, Jazz is out of the clinic and doing fine. He still needs a lot of care, medication, and small amounts of special food several times a day, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Becky
May 2021 - Becky was born in January of 2020 but she has spent more than half her life in a hospital in treatment for a skin fungus, at a cost of over $350 USD or $420 CAD. Her rescuers dream of the day when she is completely healed and ready to join a loving family.

Kira's Story
Kira came to ADAC at only two months old. She went to a new home but was returned after three months through no fault of her own. After six months of looking for a new home, she was adopted by a loving family and now lives in Washington.
